For independent carers
HBS helps independent carers show their experience, training evidence, availability and rates clearly — so families can request safer, family-led introductions.
HBS does not employ carers. Independent carers set their own rates and choose which introductions they accept.
Why join
HBS gives independent carers a professional place to build a verified profile, show evidence clearly and connect with families looking for independent support through Personal Health Budgets, direct payments or private funding.
Show families your experience, support areas, availability, rates, DBS review status, references, training evidence and verification level.
HBS is focused on PHB, direct payment and private family-led support — not generic care job listings.
You set your own rate, choose your availability and decide which introduction requests you want to accept.
Upload certificates and evidence so HBS can review relevant training before badges or training summaries appear on your profile.
Introductions through HBS are logged and protected by HBS Introduction Terms before contact details are released.
Families' needs change. Staying active on HBS can help you remain visible for future introductions that match your profile.

Create Carer AccountYou're in charge
HBS does not employ carers. You remain an independent carer and choose how you use the platform.
HBS facilitates introductions and platform administration. Families and carers agree ongoing arrangements directly.
Next: Sign up free and you stay independent — set your own rate, availability and which introductions you accept.
Create Carer AccountTransparent pricing
Independent carers set their own hourly rate. HBS adds a transparent platform fee on top, shown clearly to families.

Family-facing total
What the family sees and pays per hour.
Your carer rate is never reduced. The HBS platform fee is added on top of your rate — it is not deducted from what you earn. In the example above, you receive your full £24.00/hr and the family sees a total of £27.00/hr.
The platform fee helps maintain the platform, verification process, introduction flow, profile hosting, payment records, support hours records and future opportunity pipeline.
Next: Create your carer account and set your own rate — HBS shows your rate plus the transparent platform fee to families.
Create Carer AccountFair & sustainable
HBS invests in building and maintaining the platform that helps families find verified independent carers and helps carers show their experience more professionally.
The fee keeps HBS fair, sustainable and able to continue bringing families and independent carers together.
Next: It's free to apply and build your profile — the platform fee only applies on top of your rate when support is delivered through HBS.
Create Carer AccountFair for everyone
Before contact details or meeting links are released, both the family and carer accept HBS Introduction Terms. This protects the platform and keeps introductions fair.
If a paid support arrangement begins following an HBS introduction, it should remain connected to HBS for the agreed introduction period.

Create Carer AccountTraining evidence
Carers can upload training certificates and request review for specialist support badges. HBS reviews evidence before displaying training summaries or badges on your profile.
Gold status requires HBS-recognised training or competency development through a verified trainer, approved provider or verified complex care nurse.
Training evidence review does not mean HBS clinically signs off ongoing care delivery.
Next: Create your account, upload your training certificates and HBS will review evidence before badges appear on your profile.
Create Carer AccountCarer dashboard
Your HBS carer account helps you manage your profile and onboarding evidence in one place.
Only approved public information appears on your family-facing profile. Private documents are not shown to families.
Next: Create your carer account to access your dashboard and start your profile and verification steps.
Create Carer AccountEarnings records
Where HBS payment tools are used, independent carers can submit support hours for family approval. Once the family approves the submitted hours, payment can be processed through the platform and carers can view their earnings records. HBS does not employ carers and does not issue payslips. Carers remain independent and receive Earnings Statements showing approved platform earnings.
Submit Hours
Record support hours through your HBS carer dashboard and submit them to the family for approval.
Family-Approved Hours
Families review and approve submitted hours before payment is processed. This keeps the process clear and transparent.
Earnings & Payouts
View approved hours, pending payments, payout status and previous earnings in one place.
Earnings Statements
Download Earnings Statements showing approved hours, agreed carer rate, gross earnings and payout status.
This is not a payslip. HBS does not employ carers. Earnings Statements are platform records for independent carers using HBS.
Next: Sign up to start your profile — once approved, you can submit hours and view Earnings Statements where HBS payment tools are used.
